About Volunteer + Info HPE

For 60 years, Volunteer + Info HPE has been connecting people with opportunities to make a difference. Since 1966, we’ve helped build stronger communities by supporting volunteers, non-profit organizations, and residents throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.

Today, we serve as both the region’s volunteer centre and a trusted source of community information. We work alongside more than 275 non-profit organizations, helping recruit, refer, retain, and recognize volunteers while promoting volunteerism through education, outreach, and community engagement.

Our commitment begins with youth. Through our NextGEN Youth Service & Leadership Initiative, we partner with local secondary schools, Loyalist College, and community organizations to inspire the next generation of volunteers through presentations, volunteer fairs, and leadership opportunities. We also connect with seniors, community groups, and local organizations to encourage lifelong volunteerism and civic participation.

Beyond volunteer engagement, Volunteer + Info HPE plays an active role in strengthening our region by supporting community events, collaborative initiatives, and projects that enhance the quality of life across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.

As the region’s community information hub, we maintain a comprehensive database of more than 1,500 local programs and services, ensuring residents can quickly access accurate, up-to-date information and connect with the supports they need—when they need them.
