Who We Are:

Volunteer + Info HPE was established in 1966 and has grown into a multi-purpose agency focused on volunteer recruitment and agency support, as well as serving as a local information centre for human and social services across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.

Through our volunteer programs, we support recruitment, referral, retention, and recognition efforts for volunteers serving more than 275 agencies throughout the region. We actively promote volunteerism through a variety of outreach and engagement initiatives designed to foster diversity, inclusion, and community participation.

Volunteer + Info HPE programs include a Student Recruitment Program, through which we engage with all local high schools to promote the value of volunteering and host community fairs within schools to showcase local agencies. We also organize and participate in seniors’ fairs, present to a wide range of Loyalist College programs, speak to community groups and associations, and serve on numerous Boards of Directors to ensure continued collaboration and community support.

As an organization, Volunteer + Info HPE is a key contributor to many community events and initiatives, while also supporting local tourism efforts that provide a direct stimulus to the local economy.

As a leader in local information services, Volunteer + Info HPE maintains a comprehensive database of more than 1,500 listings of programs and services available throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties, ensuring residents have access to accurate, up-to-date information about essential community supports.
