60 Years of Connecting People, Opportunities & Community

For 60 years, Volunteer + Info HPE has been helping people find meaningful ways to connect, contribute, and make a difference. Since 1966, we’ve supported volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and residents across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties—helping create stronger, more connected communities.

Today, we are both the region’s volunteer centre and a trusted source of community information. We work with more than 275 nonprofit organizations, helping recruit, refer, retain, and recognize volunteers while promoting volunteerism through education, outreach, and community engagement.

Investing in the Next Generation

Our work starts early. Through our NextGEN Youth Service & Leadership Initiative, we partner with secondary schools, Loyalist College, and community organizations to introduce young people to volunteerism, leadership, and community involvement. Through school presentations, volunteer fairs, referrals, and leadership opportunities, we help youth discover where their interests and skills can make a difference.

We believe volunteerism is for everyone. We connect youth, adults, seniors, families, and individuals of all abilities and backgrounds with opportunities that reflect their interests, skills, and capacity to contribute.

Strengthening Our Community

Volunteer + Info HPE is more than a place to find a volunteer opportunity. We are a connector, collaborator, and community resource. We support local events, community initiatives, nonprofit organizations, and partnerships that help improve quality of life throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.

Our community information hub provides access to more than 1,500 local programs and services, helping residents find reliable information and connect with the supports they need.
