Our Manager of Volunteer Services interviews an average of 350 volunteers per year and refers them to different non-profit organization located in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties depending on their interests.

Promotion of volunteerism

Part of our mandate is to promote the benefits of volunteerism in our community. We organize volunteer fairs, we write newspaper articles, we go in classrooms.

Offers three yearly community Volunteer recognition awards

The Ruth Burrows Award
The Maurice Rollins Community Leadership Award for Youth
The Ruth Kollars Unsung Hero Award

Conduct workshop for non-profit and volunteer managers

Facilitate a monthly meeting for volunteer managers QAVA
The QAVA is held the last Wednesday of each month.  We share information about volunteer management and the newest procedures in force in the non-profit sector.
