Diane has been a VIQ Board member for five years and has been volunteering in the Belleville area for over 30 years.  She recently retired having spent the last few years as a Job Developer with Career Edge in Quinte West.  Her career has been varied, working at Loyalist College for many years, as a waste management consultant in the private sector and as a Project Leader for many government projects, the most notable being the Manager of Tri-County Environmental Services.  Diane spends her winters in Florida now, enjoys golf, has recently taken up the guitar and together she and her husand Ted have four children and eleven grandchildren.

René Dick

Rene Dick

Rene has been involved with VIQ and a board member for five years but has been active in volunteerism for the past 12. René owns a creative communications company, Scout Design in Prince Edward County and works with a number of not-for-profit agencies such as Quinte Arts Council, Big Brother/Big Sisters, Future Possibilities Canada, Hospice Prince Edward County and Festival Players. Rene sits as Co-chair at Loyalist College's Advertising Advisory committee, is an elder at Wellington United Church, sits on the board of Small Business Centre, the marketing position on the executive of his Toast Masters group, and is a youth business mentor. Rene actively in engaged in the community in the areas of environmental causes and often works with youth in various roles. Rene is the father of 4 and is happy to escape the rat race of the city and loves to contribute to the community.

Wendy Synnott

Wendy has been a VIQ Board member for one year. She has worked for the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre as the Volunteer Coordinator since 2002. As a military spouse she has enjoyed a variety of jobs as she's moved throughout Canada and Germany. Wendy currently lives in Centre Hastings with her husband and cat. She has two adult daughters, one living on each coast of Canada. She keeps herself pretty busy with work, volunteering, gardening, and a long list of home renovation projects.
